Whoopi Goldberg to take two-week hiatus from ‘The View’

Whoopi Goldberg will be absent from the ABC daytime talk show ‘The View’ for a two-week period starting September 22 to film a new project titled ‘Women Like Us’. The film is produced by Barack and Michelle Obama and will also feature Vivica A. Fox, Vanessa Williams, and Jennifer Lewis.

During her absence, Goldberg will still appear on Mondays. For the remaining days, former co-hosts Lisa Ling, Star Jones, Sherri Shepherd, and Debbie Matenopoulos will fill in. Current co-host Joy Behar will serve as the moderator for the Hot Topics roundtable while the filming takes place.
