Wi-Fi 7 router market competition intensifies

The market for entry-level and mid-range Wi-Fi 7 routers is seeing increased competition between major manufacturers. TP-Link is offering the Archer BE670, a tri-band model featuring 10Gbps WAN/LAN ports and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) support, designed for multi-gigabit fiber households.

In the entry-level segment, Elecom has released the WRC-BE36GS in Japan. This model focuses on a compact design, measuring 36 x 128 x 160 mm, and includes physical switches for mode switching (Router/AP/Repeater). Unlike some higher-end models, the WRC-BE36GS utilizes 1Gbps ports for its wired connections. TP-Link is also expanding its presence in the budget sector with the upcoming Archer BE220W, a white version of its existing bestseller.
