WIBank celebrates 75 years of economic and infrastructure support in Hessen

The Wirtschafts- und Infrastrukturbank Hessen (WIBank) is celebrating its 75th anniversary. During a commemorative ceremony in Wiesbaden, Hessian Minister President Boris Rhein praised the institution as an indispensable partner for the state government, noting its role in fostering economic growth, infrastructure, and social stability.

WIBank serves as a central hub for public funds from the state, federal, and European Union levels. Its mandate includes supporting business startups, securing jobs, promoting affordable housing, and investing in municipal infrastructure, digitalization, and education.

Minister President Rhein specifically highlighted the bank's role in administering 'Hessengeld,' a program designed to assist citizens in purchasing self-occupied residential property. WIBank management emphasized that while the challenges facing the region have evolved over seven decades, the core mission of strengthening Hessen through innovation and investment remains unchanged.
