Wichí El Pintado medical operation treats over 1,000 people
The Strategic Health Network (RES) conducted a two-day medical operation in Wichí El Pintado, providing comprehensive healthcare services to more than 1,000 people. This initiative, led by the Secretariat of Strategic Affairs and the Ministry of Health, served both local residents and those from surrounding rural areas, reaching over 50% of the town's population.
Medical services provided included pediatrics, obstetrics, cardiology, dentistry, general medicine, ultrasounds, and vaccinations. The program aims to bring specialists directly to remote communities, reducing the need for residents to travel to urban centers for medical consultations and diagnostic studies.
Marcos Resico, Secretary of Strategic Affairs, emphasized the importance of maintaining a sustained sanitary presence in interior localities to ensure early disease detection and continuous patient follow-up. Following successful operations in Fuerte Esperanza, Misión Nueva Pompeya, and Miraflores, future operations are planned for El Sauzalito and Comandancia Frías.
