Wicked Makers transforms Unitree robot into haunted house monster

The YouTube channel Wicked Makers has transformed a Unitree Go2 quadruped robot into a custom horror attraction named ‘Chippy’ for the Hundred Acres Manor haunted house in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The approximately $5,000 robot features advanced AI and LiDAR sensors, allowing it to navigate terrain and perform acrobatic movements like jumping and climbing stairs. To enhance the scare factor, the creators used 3D printing and flexible TPU material to build a raccoon-like exterior with glowing red LED eyes and a moving tail.

To ensure the robot can approach visitors closely and move unpredictably, the standard obstacle avoidance safety features were intentionally disabled. Despite a technical malfunction during testing that required overnight repairs, the modified robot was successfully deployed to roam the haunted house attraction.
