Wicker film to feature special 4DX screening

The upcoming period fantasy film ‘Wicker’, starring Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård, will receive a special 4DX screening on October 28. The announcement from Black Bear follows significant fan interest prompted by the film’s trailer.

Directed by Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson, ‘Wicker’ tells the story of an ostracized fisherwoman who commissions a local basket maker, played by Peter Dinklage, to create a husband out of wicker. The resulting romance between the woman and the wicker creation, played by Skarsgård, disrupts the social order of her coastal community.

The 4DX experience will incorporate synchronized motion seats and environmental effects such as wind, water, and scents. Directors Wilson and Fischer noted that the technology enhances the film’s comedy and helps situate viewers within the story’s unique world. The film is scheduled for a limited US theatrical release on October 23, 2026, before expanding nationwide on October 30.
