Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo has drawn significant attention following his attendance at the traditional engagement ceremony of Charlene Ruto, daughter of Kenyan President William Ruto. During the event held at the president’s Intona Heritage Farm in Narok County, Chivayo’s presence and his ultra-rare Jacob & Co 18 Karat Twin Turbo Furious Baguette watch, valued at approximately USD 1.5 million, became a focal point of social media discussion.

Chivayo also shared footage of President Ruto personally driving him and his wife to a nearby helipad following the ceremony. The video, which shows the president laughing while driving the guests, has sparked discussions regarding the businessman’s high-level access to African political leaders. This follows a notable shift in Chivayo’s relationship with Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who previously criticized the businessman but later described him as a philanthropist.
