Brazil sees 163% surge in industrial AI adoption

Artificial intelligence usage in Brazilian industrial companies with 100 or more employees rose from 16.9% in 2022 to 41.9% in 2024, according to IBGE data. This represents a 163% increase, with the number of participating industries growing from 1,619 to 4,261.

Key areas of application include administration (87.9%), commercialization (75.2%), and project development (73.1%). The trend extends to small businesses as well, with a Sebrae study indicating that 52% of micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses used AI tools recently, while 60% intend to expand their use.

Implementation is evolving from human-triggered copilots to autonomous AI agents that manage entire operational areas. Companies utilizing these advanced agents have reported significant financial impacts, including over R$ 60 million in revenue generation and cost reductions in 2026.
