Poland: New building regulations delayed by Ministry
New construction regulations in Poland, intended to improve acoustic insulation, fire safety, and accessibility in multi-family buildings, have missed their scheduled implementation date of September 20, 2026. The Ministry of Development and Technology confirmed that the ordinance is still undergoing legislative work.
Under transitional provisions, existing regulations may continue to apply for up to 18 months, potentially until March 2028, depending on when the new standards are officially announced. The delay impacts the construction industry, as developers may need to modify documentation and undergo new approvals once the requirements are finalized.
