Świdnica awards Stanisław Nicieja honorary citizenship

The Świdnica City Council has granted the titles of ‘Honorary Citizen of the City of Świdnica’ and ‘Meritorious for the City of Świdnica’ to recognize individuals contributing to the city's development and community identity.

Professor Stanisław Nicieja has been awarded the title of ‘Honorary Citizen of the City of Świdnica’. A prominent historian, biographer, and art historian, Nicieja has deep roots in the city, having completed his secondary education there in the 1960s. His academic career includes years of leadership at the University of Opole and extensive contributions to historical research and the protection of monuments.
