Doctors at the Regional Specialist Hospital “Latawiec” in Świdnica successfully carried out a complex operation to remove a giant ovarian tumor weighing about 12 kilograms and measuring 43 centimetres in diameter. The multi‑hour surgery was performed by a team that included Dr. Filip Kubiaczyk, Dr. Lech Wojewodzic and Dr. Katarzyna Pilecka, with assistance from anaesthesiologists and operating‑room staff. The patient was admitted after noticing a rapid increase in abdominal size; earlier consultations had not identified the cause until a gynecological examination revealed the extensive ovarian growth. Post‑operative care continues, and physicians emphasized the importance of regular gynecological check‑ups, noting that abdominal swelling can signal serious reproductive‑system conditions.
