Świdnica hosts 40th anniversary of Days of Photography

The 40th anniversary of the Days of Photography in Świdnica has commenced, featuring several major photographic competitions and exhibitions. A significant highlight of this jubilee edition is the return of the ‘Zestaw’ (Set) competition after a multi-year hiatus. The competition received 202 entries from 202 authors, with 45 works selected for exhibition. Ryszard Domański from Biała Podlaska won first prize for his work ‘Ku światłu’.

Additionally, the 35th Świdnica Photo Marathon concluded as part of the anniversary celebrations. The marathon challenged participants to capture 12 specific themes within a 12-hour period. Following intense jury deliberations, no first-place winner was awarded this year; instead, Piotr Orłowski and Paweł Romanowski shared second place. The event included an outdoor exhibition of the participants' works in the town square.
