Świdnica hosts first open‑air dance festival attracting crowds

On July 4, 2026 the courtyard beneath Świdnica’s Town Hall Tower was turned into an open‑air dance floor for the inaugural Świdnicka Potańcówka. The event started at 19:00 and drew large numbers of residents, from children and teenagers to parents and seniors.

Music spanned 70s/80s disco, 90s hits, rock and classic Polish songs such as “Mój jest ten kawałek podłogi”. Organisers supplied simple dance steps, led by Wojciech Andrzej Skiślewicz, an artistic instructor from the local Culture Centre. Attendees praised the energetic, inter‑generational atmosphere.

The strong turnout demonstrated a community appetite for shared leisure activities in the summer, and organisers declared the first edition a clear success.
