Świdnica political talks focus on new deputy president candidate

Political negotiations are underway in Świdnica regarding the appointment of a new deputy president. Following the withdrawal of recommendation for Jacek Iwancz, Beata Szczepankowska—a city councilor and director of the Świdnica Emergency Medical Service—has reportedly been proposed for the position.

Beata Szczepankowska confirmed that discussions are ongoing, noting the seriousness of the proposal and the need for time to consider the situation. Robert Jagła, head of the local Koalicja Obywatelska structures, stated that while talks are continuing, candidates from outside the party are also being considered. A final decision is expected by mid-September.

The vacancy arises from a coalition agreement between Koalicja Obywatelska and Mayor Beata Moskal-Słaniewska, which includes the handover of the City Council presidency and the deputy president position to the party.
