Widow donates Lake Como villa to Varenna municipality

Loredana Spiga Venier has donated her historic villa on Lake Como to the municipality of Varenna following the death of her husband, Gianmarco. The property, valued at over 1.6 million euros, is located in the center of Varenna on the eastern shore of the lake.

In addition to the two-story building, Venier is donating all the furniture and items contained within the residence. The donation includes a kitchen, dining area, large living room, veranda, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and panoramic terraces with views of the lake and mountains.

The agreement stipulates that the property must be used exclusively for the public interest for the next 90 years. The villa is intended to serve as a venue for cultural and tourist events, acting as a gathering place for both local residents and visitors.
