Widzew Łódź is nearing the acquisition of 19-year-old Romanian striker Ioan Vermeșan on loan from Hellas Verona. The deal is expected to last until the end of the season and includes an option for a permanent transfer in the summer of 2027.

Vermeșan, a Romanian youth international, has experience in Serie A, having made six league appearances for Verona last season. While he has yet to score at the senior level, he has a strong record in youth football, scoring 35 goals in 91 Primavera matches.

The move aims to bolster Widzew's attacking options following the departures of Andi Zeqiri and Pape Meïssa Ba. The striker will compete for playing time alongside Karol Świderski and Sebastian Bergier under coach Aleksandar Vuković.
