Widzew Łódź signs 16-year-old goalkeeper Franciszek Golański

Widzew Łódź has signed 16-year-old goalkeeper Franciszek Golański to his first professional contract, which will run until June 30, 2029. Born in 2010, Golański has shown rapid development within the club's system.

Previously trained at Naprzod Brwinów and Legia Warszawa, the goalkeeper joined Widzew mid-way through the previous season. He has already gained senior-level experience, appearing in seven matches for Widzew II in the third league and participating in a Polish Cup match against Polonia Bytom, where he saved a penalty.

Golański has also been training with the first team, including a summer training camp in Austria. His recent progress earned him a call-up to the Poland U-17 national team.
