Wiehl, Germany motorcycle crash injures rider after tank station collisions

On 30 June 2026, two separate accidents occurred near the Jaeger gas station in Wiehl‑Alperbrück, Germany. Around 11:05 a driver in a VW Golf entered the station area and collided with a motorcycle at the pump, causing the bike to tip over and hit another vehicle. No one was injured, but the vehicles were heavily damaged and several pump islands were temporarily closed.

Approximately an hour later, at about 12:00, a 27‑year‑old driver in a Cupra braked sharply on the nearby L336. A 22‑year‑old motorcyclist failed to stop in time and struck the rear of the Cupra, sustaining severe injuries and being taken to hospital by ambulance. The crash rendered both vehicles inoperable and required towing. Police partially closed the L336 for the duration of the investigations, and the Wiehl fire brigade secured the scene, managed leaking fluids, and ensured fire safety.

Both incidents caused significant traffic disruption on the L336 and led to the temporary shutdown of several fuel pumps at the station.
