Knyszyń–Krypno Pedestrian and Bike Path Planned in Poland

Local authorities in the Podlaskie region are preparing design documentation for a 5.8‑kilometre pedestrian and cycling route between the towns of Knyszyn and Krypno. The stretch will run alongside provincial road 671, aiming to separate cyclists and walkers from fast‑moving car traffic that currently makes the road unsafe for non‑motorised users.

The project is presented as the first step toward a longer safe corridor linking Białystok with the tourist town of Augustów, enhancing local mobility, encouraging short car‑free trips and supporting regional tourism in the Biebrza River valley.

The plan is still at the documentation stage; construction has not yet begun.
