Lower Silesia allocates over 50 million PLN for sports infrastructure
The Lower Silesian regional government has announced over 50 million PLN in support and recommended funding for 86 sports investments across the region. These funds are aimed at modernizing and creating various facilities, including multi-purpose sports fields, halls, running tracks, and swimming pools.
The financial support is distributed through several programs. 10.5 million PLN will be allocated to 28 local governments via the Lower Silesian Sports Base Development Fund, while 3.5 million PLN is designated for six sports clubs. Additionally, nearly 17 million PLN is allocated for 37 municipal investments under the Lower Silesian Sports Infrastructure Development Program. Another 2 million PLN is set aside for four tennis and padel parks.
Many of these projects will be concentrated in the southern part of the region, including locations such as Nowa Ruda, Kudowa-Zdrój, and Ząbkowice Śląskie. Wałbrzych is also set to receive significant support, including 1.5 million PLN for the reconstruction of sports fields. Paweł Gancarz, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, stated that the goal is to provide residents with optimal conditions for sports, whether through clubs, school activities, or personal recreation.
