Wiener Börse: ATX index declines during midday trading

The Vienna Stock Exchange experienced a decline during midday trading on September 14, 2026. The benchmark ATX index fell by approximately 1.6 percent, dropping to around 6,774 to 6,776 points.

While the broader market trended downward, certain stocks showed resilience. Uniqa and Strabag recorded gains, with Uniqa rising by over 1 percent and Strabag increasing by approximately 0.6 percent. Österreichische Post also saw a slight uptick of about 0.6 percent.

Conversely, several heavyweights faced losses. Banking stocks such as RBI and Erste Group declined by roughly 2.6 to 2.8 percent. Additionally, AT&S shares saw a significant drop of over 9 percent, and Lenzing continued its downward trend with a loss of nearly 3 percent.
