Świeradów-Zdrój promotes tourism through sports and unique attractions

The town of Świeradów-Zdrój, located in the Jizera Mountains near the Czech border, has recently highlighted its dual appeal as a destination for both sports and unique tourism attractions.

The town hosted the grand finale of the ‘From the Sea to the Mountains’ Nordic Walking Festival. The event, organized by the ‘Aktywni Zagłębia Miedziowego’ Association, concluded a multi-stage journey that began on the Baltic coast and moved through various Polish regions. Participants engaged in walking routes ranging from 2.5 to 10 kilometers, with local government support playing a key role in the event's success.

Complementing its active lifestyle offerings, Świeradów-Zdrój features the Sky Walk, a major tourist attraction completed in 2021. Designed by Czech architect Zdeněk Fránek, the structure is built from steel and larch wood. The tower offers panoramic views of the mountains and includes a 105-meter stainless steel slide, providing an adrenaline-filled alternative to traditional hiking.
