Wiesbaden hosts reception for German-French youth exchange

A German-French youth exchange program concluded with a reception at the Wiesbaden City Hall. The initiative, a collaboration between Maison de l’Europe Paris and the BauHaus Werkstätten Wiesbaden, brought together 20 young people from both countries for a week focused on nature, leisure, and intercultural exchange.

The event marked the completion of the three-part project titled ‘Perspektivsprung – zu Wasser, Wald und Natur’. The program previously included a sailing trip last summer and a visit to Paris and Fontainebleau in the spring. During the final stage in Wiesbaden, participants explored the Taunus region and surrounding recreational areas.

Dr. Patricia Becher, a department head, emphasized the importance of such encounters in making Europe tangible and helping young people overcome prejudices. The exchange formats, which have been organized for several years, specifically aim to provide new learning opportunities and strengthen employment prospects for youth in vocational assistance programs.
