Wi‑Fi 7 promises faster, more reliable networks as manufacturers exploit certification loophole
The new Wi‑Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) standard adds 320 MHz channels, 4K‑QAM modulation and Multi‑Link Operation (MLO), allowing simultaneous use of 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands. Proponents say it reduces drop‑outs, supports many concurrent users and enables high‑speed applications such as 4K medical imaging, cloud‑based patient data and AR‑assisted maintenance.
