Wijaya Kusuma train delayed after collision with car in Jember

The Wijaya Kusuma train, traveling from Cilacap to Ketapang, experienced a 104-minute delay on Saturday morning following a collision with a sedan at a level crossing in Jember, East Java. The incident occurred at approximately 03:53 WIB between the Tanggul and Bangsalsari districts.

According to the train driver, the vehicle failed to stop at the crossing despite multiple horn signals from the locomotive. The collision resulted in severe injuries to the driver, a 45-year-old resident of Bangsalsari, who was evacuated to a local health center for medical treatment. Local police are currently investigating the incident.
