Wiktor Gierczak takes second in Polish Cadet Casting Fishing Cup

Wiktor Gierczak of the Kielce PZW District secured second place in the Polish Cadet Casting Fishing Cup. The final competition took place on September 19, 2026, in Gródki nad Dunajcem.

Heading into the final, Gierczak and Jakub Karmański from the Katowice District were tied with 3 points each following previous competitions in Pińczów. In the final event, Gierczak achieved the longest spinning distance of the competition at 63.54 meters and earned a perfect score in spinning skishu. However, Karmański won the overall title and the cup after outperforming Gierczak in the Arenberg discipline. Karmański's total score of 293.75 points finished just under the Polish record set in 2015.
