Wilco Zeelenberg Recovers After Open-Heart Bypass Surgery

Former MotoGP rider and team manager Wilco Zeelenberg disclosed that a routine angioplasty on his heart escalated into an emergency triple‑bypass operation. The Dutch veteran said surgeons performed three bypasses and, four weeks later, he is feeling better and his recovery is progressing well.

Zeelenberg confirmed he will resume his role as a MotoGP analyst for Dutch broadcaster Ziggo Sport and that his participation in the upcoming “Meet The Speed 2026” event – marking its 25th anniversary – remains unchanged.
