Wild animal sighting causes concern in Nikiti, Halkidiki

A large wild animal, believed by local residents to be a wolf, has caused concern in the settlement of Nikiti, Halkidiki. The incident occurred around 23:30 on a Tuesday in the upper village.

Security footage captured the animal moving through a street illuminated by municipal and commercial lighting. During the sighting, the animal approached a resident sitting outside a mini-market, coming within a few meters of the individual. The person reportedly made noise to scare the animal away.

While the video footage does not allow for definitive species identification, locals report that the animal has been seen previously in the area, including a sighting near a biological facility where it was allegedly seen carrying a cat. The presence of the animal has raised safety concerns among residents and tourists, particularly regarding children returning late at night.
