Wild Tamil Nadu documentary to release in PVR Cinemas

The wildlife documentary ‘Wild Tamil Nadu’ is scheduled for theatrical release through PVR Cinemas on September 7, 2026. The film is a result of a four-year filmmaking project designed to showcase the diverse ecological heritage and landscapes of the state.

Produced as a CSR initiative by Sundram Fasteners Ltd. in collaboration with Nature inFocus and supported by the Tamil Nadu Forest Department, the one-hour documentary explores ecosystems ranging from mountains and forests to coastlines and coral reefs. The narrative structure draws inspiration from the five classical landscapes of ancient Sangam literature: Kurinji, Mullai, Marutham, Neithal, and Palai.

Featured wildlife includes elephants, leopards, the lion-tailed macaque, and the Madras hedgehog. The production features a soundtrack by three-time Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej and narration by actor Arvind Swamy.
