Wildaf-CI and Cnltp revise anti-trafficking procedures
Wildaf-Côte d’Ivoire and the National Committee for the Fight Against Human Trafficking (Cnltp) have commenced the second stage of revising the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) regarding human trafficking and the illicit smuggling of migrants.
Held in Grand-Bassam as part of the Ouestaf project, the initiative aims to adapt procedures to Ivorian realities and improve coordination among actors responsible for identifying, protecting, and assisting victims. The revised document is intended to serve as a reference for victim management, covering identification, referral, protection, assistance, and social and economic reintegration. Fanta Massobé, the Ouestaf project manager for Wildaf-Côte d’Ivoire, noted that the revision is necessary due to the persistence of trafficking and increasing rates of irregular migration in the country.
