Wildfire in Chalkida and drone attack on Russian oil facility

A wildfire broke out in an agricultural area in Kalochori, Chalkida, around midday on September 3, 2026. The fire service responded with eight firefighters, a team of hikers from the 4th EMODE, and five vehicles. Aerial firefighting efforts were also deployed, involving two aircraft and three helicopters.

In a separate incident, a fire occurred at an oil facility in Sochi, Russia, following a drone attack by Ukrainian forces.
