Wildfire near Aldea del Fresno triggers emergency response west of Madrid

A new wildfire has broken out approximately 50 kilometers west of Madrid, near Aldea del Fresno, prompting an emergency response. Nine firefighting aircraft have been deployed to combat the flames, which are being fueled by high temperatures reaching 36 degrees Celsius and strong winds.

Authorities have instructed approximately 3,500 residents of Aldea del Fresno to remain in their homes as a precaution, while evacuations have been carried out in surrounding residential areas and urbanizations. This incident follows devastating wildfires in July that affected the western region of Madrid and the neighboring province of Avila, which previously forced tens of thousands of people to evacuate.
