Wildfire near Rozino and Hristo Danovo contained

A large wildfire near the villages of Rozino and Hristo Danovo in the Plovdiv region has been brought under control. The fire was reportedly caused by a passing railway train and was reported shortly before 18:00.

The blaze spread across multiple fronts exceeding 6 kilometers, affecting over 1,200 decares of land and encroaching upon coniferous forest massifs. Emergency response efforts involved 14 teams from the Plovdiv Fire Department, teams from Koprivshtitsa, volunteer formations from Hisarya, the National Disaster Response Team, and various forestry and rescue units.

Due to the rapid coordination between firefighters, forest officials, volunteers, and local authorities, the fire was localized before reaching nearby residential areas. Minimal forest territory was affected, and monitoring teams remain on-site to prevent any reignition.
