Wildfires spread across Muğla, Antalya, and Diyarbakır provinces in Turkey

Wildfires have broken out across the Turkish provinces of Muğla, Antalya, and Diyarbakır. In Muğla, the fire initially started in an agricultural area near the village of Korubuku in the Seydikemer district before strong winds pushed the flames into forested areas toward the Kaş district in Antalya.

Emergency response efforts involve significant aerial and ground resources. In Muğla and Antalya, authorities have deployed 4 aircraft, 15 helicopters, 72 water tankers, 6 construction machines, and approximately 450 personnel. In the Fethiye district of Muğla, crews are working to cool areas after the fire in the Karagedik settlement was brought under control.

A separate fire has emerged in the rural Uchbasamak area of the Silvan district in Diyarbakır, where wind caused the fire to spread from brushland into forested terrain. The causes of the various fires have not yet been determined.
