Wildhorse Foundation awards $447,230 in quarterly grants

The Wildhorse Foundation has announced $447,230 in grant awards for the second quarter of 2026. Managed by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation in partnership with Wildhorse Resort & Casino, the foundation distributed funds to 29 organizations.

Grants were allocated to projects involving public health, public safety, arts, education, environmental protection, cultural activities, historic preservation, and salmon restoration. Individual grant amounts ranged from $2,000 to $30,000. Additionally, the foundation issued three Rapid Response Grants of $1,500 each to Grace Clinic, Nixyaawii Community School, and the Sustainable Living Center to address immediate local needs.

The foundation provides funding to eligible nonprofit, government, and Tribal organizations within the homeland area of the Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla people, as well as certain Native American charitable organizations operating in Oregon. Since its inception in 2001, the Wildhorse Foundation has awarded more than $20 million in total grant funding.
