Wildlife sightings reported in Coatzacoalcos and Ensenada

Recent wildlife sightings in Mexico have drawn attention in both Veracruz and Baja California. In Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, an otter visited the ‘La Ribera del Río’ seafood market. Local fishermen and workers provided the animal with food, noting a peaceful coexistence between the community and the regional aquatic fauna.

In Ensenada, Baja California, a sea lion appeared in a stream in the city center. Municipal authorities and the Ecological Police mobilized to secure the area to prevent public interference. The Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (Profepa) was notified to conduct a professional assessment. Authorities urged citizens to maintain distance and refrain from touching or feeding the animal to avoid causing it stress.
