Wildwood police seize colorful methamphetamine resembling candy

Wildwood police have seized uniquely shaped, colorful methamphetamine that authorities warn may resemble candy or children's vitamins. Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland and Wildwood Police Chief Joseph Murphy are urging parents and caregivers to remain vigilant to prevent accidental ingestion by children.

The seizure occurred following a police response to a report of an individual with a handgun on East Spencer Avenue on September 17. During a search of a vehicle, officers discovered the substance and a handgun. The suspect, 36-year-old Mark Davis of Vineland, faces multiple charges, including second-degree possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of a handgun, and third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
