Wildwood tram car driver John “Gigi” Gigliotti dies at 97

John “Gigi” Gigliotti, a well-known tram car driver on the Wildwood boardwalk, has passed away at the age of 97. Gigliotti had operated one of the iconic tram cars for the last 35 years and only retired this past May.

Before his career on the boardwalk, Gigliotti served in the military and worked as a conductor for Conrail for 40 years. He was widely recognized by tourists and locals alike for his presence on the Jersey Shore.
