Wildwoods to host aviation shows and 9/11 memorial events

The Wildwoods in New Jersey will host several aviation-themed events in September 2026, including the Wildwoods Air Show and the NAS Wildwood Aviation Museum’s AirFest.

The Wildwoods Air Show, scheduled for September 12-13, will feature a patriotic commemoration for the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Memorial ceremonies are planned for September 11 across various locations, including Downtown Wildwood, North Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest. The air show lineup includes the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team and the New Jersey Air National Guard’s 177th Fighter Wing.

Separately, AirFest 2026 will take place from September 3 to September 6 at Cape May Airport. This event will showcase historic military aircraft, such as the C-47 “Placid Lassie,” a WWII combat veteran, and a reproduction of the Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter. The museum also plans to highlight Pacific theater aviation history with aircraft such as the TBM Avenger and a Japanese A6M Zero replica.
