Wiley University hires Destiny Lane Frazier as women's basketball head coach

Wiley University in Marshall, Texas, announced that Dr. Destiny Lane Frazier, Ed.D., will serve as the program’s 13th head women’s basketball coach. Frazier, a former four‑year captain and leading scorer at Jacksonville State University, brings a doctorate in global sports leadership and extensive coaching experience.

Before joining Wiley, she led NCAA Division III LaGrange College to a 15‑win season and a conference semifinal appearance, and served as an assistant at Berry College. At the high‑school level she earned Class 5A Coach of the Year honors and guided teams to state championship finals. She also mentored current WNBA player Sarah Ashlee Barker. Athletic Director Dr. Darrius Brooks praised her "great basketball mind" and expects her to build on the Lady Wildcats’ historic legacy.
