Wilfred Ndidi linked with move from Besiktas to Saudi club Al‑Ittihad

Nigerian international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, 29, is under contract with Turkish side Besiktas until 30 June 2028. The player, who joined Besiktas from Leicester City in August 2025 for about €8 million, has been identified as a target for Saudi Pro League club Al‑Ittihad (also referred to as Al‑Diriyah). Interest intensified after Ndidi suffered an ankle ligament injury; Besiktas confirmed an MRI was performed and a health report is being prepared. Saudi representatives have asked for the medical assessment before a formal offer can be made. Ndidi, a former FA Cup winner with Leicester and a regular for the Nigeria national team, is valued around €8 million and could be transferred only through an agreement between the two clubs, not via a pre‑contract. A return to action is expected in August if recovery proceeds as planned.
