Wilfredo Leon addresses knee health ahead of European Championship knockout stage

Wilfredo Leon has addressed concerns regarding his health ahead of the knockout stages of the European Volleyball Championship. Following a period of rest during the group stage, the Polish player confirmed that while he experiences “a little bit of pain” in his knees due to the intensity of the tournament, his condition is not a cause for alarm.

Coaching staff have indicated that Leon’s participation in upcoming matches, including potential fixtures against Latvia, Bulgaria, or Germany, is not at risk. Although he did not participate in warm-ups or play during the recent match against Bulgaria to allow for recovery, he has returned to the squad for the round of 16.
