Wilhelm-Hack-Museum to host film premiere of 5th Art World Championship
The Wilhelm-Hack-Museum in Ludwigshafen will host the premiere of a film documenting the 5th Art World Championship on Monday, October 26, at 7:00 PM. The event, organized by the Büro für angewandten Realismus, originally served as the opening spectacle for the 2024 Culture Summer.
The Art World Championship features artists competing in a ring-style arena, producing artwork in three-minute rounds under time pressure. While artists have freedom in their chosen media, physical violence is strictly prohibited. A jury determines the winners of these creative duels.
Ludwigshafen has hosted the championship five times, supported by the world art associations WAO, WAF, and WKZ, who value the city's industrial backdrop. The film premiere aims to commemorate the event and build momentum for a potential sixth championship.
