Wilhelmshaven Hosts 19th Nordsee Man/Woman Triathlon with Police Traffic Management

The 19th Nordsee Man/Woman Triathlon will take place in Wilhelmshaven on Saturday 8 August and Sunday 9 August 2026. Organized by TSR Olympia Wilhelmshaven e.V., the event expects around 1,100 athletes and includes the standard swim, bike and run disciplines, a duathlon for schoolchildren and a para‑triathlon. The start, finish and transition zone are located at the Pumpwerk, which will also serve as the coordination centre.

The Wilhelmshaven/Friesland police inspection will provide security, deploying units from the rapid‑response team, regular patrol officers and the water police. Officers will enforce traffic control measures and road closures along the race routes, and motorists are asked to follow detours and instructions to avoid delays.
