Will Ospreay discusses WWE offers and AEW career ahead of Wembley headline

AEW star Will Ospreay has shared several insights regarding his career ahead of headlining AEW All In at Wembley Stadium against Kenny Omega. In recent interviews, Ospreay revealed that he turned down offers from WWE in both 2016 and 2024. He cited financial reasons and a desire to avoid relocating to the United States as primary factors in 2016, while more recent decisions were driven by a preference for AEW’s creative freedom and in-ring style. Ospreay expressed respect for WWE but criticized its presentation and wrestling style as being too “minimalistic” compared to the high-contact approach he prefers.

Ospreay also discussed the personal support from AEW President Tony Khan, noting that Khan paid over $420,000 for Ospreay’s neck fusion surgery. Additionally, Ospreay reflected on witnessing the 2023 backstage altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry at Wembley Stadium.

As AEW prepares for the upcoming event in London, the promotion has announced several matches, including the Continental Challenge Cup finals and the return of wrestler Grado to Dynamite in Glasgow.
