Will Ospreay makes surprise NJPW appearance and attacks Jeff Cobb

Will Ospreay made a surprise appearance at a New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) Road to King of Pro-Wrestling event in Uonuma, Niigata, Japan. Following an eight-man tag team match, Ospreay attacked Yuto-Ice, OSKAR, and Jeff Cobb, delivering his signature ‘Hidden Blade’ to Cobb.

This appearance precedes Ospreay’s scheduled championship match at NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling on October 12 at Ryogoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo. Ospreay is set to team with Henare and Great-O-Khan to defend the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championships against Jeff Cobb, Yuto-Ice, and OSKAR.

The event occurs amidst internal factional tension. Callum Newman, the current leader of the United Empire in NJPW, has issued an ultimatum to Henare and Great-O-Khan, demanding they choose between Newman’s version of the group and Ospreay’s faction.
