Will Ospreay owns United Empire trademark for AEW use

Will Ospreay holds the legal rights to the United Empire name, allowing him to bring the faction to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). According to reports, Ospreay filed a trademark for the name in April 2026, providing him with the autonomy to use the branding in AEW, a situation distinct from other wrestling factions where trademarks are held by different promotions.

The AEW version of the United Empire has expanded to include members such as ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey and Andrade El Idolo. Meanwhile, the original chapter in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) continues to operate, with Ospreay scheduled to defend the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship there on October 12.
