Will Smith begins filming ‘Supermax’ in Australia
Filming for the thriller ‘Supermax’ has officially commenced in New South Wales, Australia. Directed by David Gordon Green, the project is a production by Amazon MGM Studios and Miramax, supported by the Screen NSW ‘Made in NSW’ fund.
Will Smith, starring in the film, shared updates from the set via social media, noting a near-accident involving a vanity van and showcasing a pair of red-soled shoes gifted to him by his son, Jaden Smith.
The film, which features a reported $70 million budget, follows two FBI agents attempting to solve a murder within a high-security prison. The cast includes AnnaSophia Robb, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Andrés Almeida, Bats Bradford, and Jaafar Jackson. ‘Supermax’ is slated for an exclusive release on Prime Video, though an official premiere date has not been announced.
