William Bonner focuses on classic car collection and new documentary

Journalist William Bonner, following his departure from Jornal Nacional, has increasingly dedicated time to his passion for collecting classic cars. His dynamic collection includes various models such as the Volkswagen Gol GTS, a 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback, a BMW M5, and a 1990s Porsche 911.

Bonner is collaborating on a new six-episode documentary series titled ‘Máquinas do Tempo’, produced by O2 Filmes in partnership with the Carde automobile museum. The series, scheduled to premiere in 2026, features Bonner alongside figures such as director Ernesto Paglia, commentator Reginaldo Leme, and Formula 1 champion Emerson Fittipaldi to explore the history and maintenance of rare vehicles.

As part of his involvement with automotive preservation, some of Bonner's vehicles, including a 1986 Ford Escort XR3 and a 1976 Volkswagen Passat TS, have been transferred to the Carde Museum in Campos do Jordão to undergo technical preservation and become part of a public collection.
