Jakub Vrána addresses demotion at Linköping HC

Jakub Vrána has addressed his recent demotion to a depth role following Linköping HC’s 1–5 loss against Djurgårdens IF. The 30-year-old forward expressed disappointment, noting that he experienced similar management issues last season.

Coach Ante Karlsson relegated Vrána to an extra forward position during the critical matchup. Vrána acknowledged that poor shifts in the previous game led to his loss of position, stating, “I admit it. It was me.” He noted that he intends to respect the decision and wait for further opportunities.

This follows a slow start to the current season for the former NHL star, who has recorded only one assist in seven games, despite a 28-point performance last year.
